![Godfather, The]() Godfather, The (1972)
IMDB rating: 9.10
Plot: The story begins as “Don” Vito Corleone, the head of a New York Mafia “family”, oversees his daughter’s wedding. His beloved son Michael has just come home from the war, but does not intend to become part of his father’s business. Through Michael’s life the nature of the family business becomes clear. The business of the family is just like the head of the family, kind and benevolent to those who give respect, but given to ruthless violence whenever anything stands against the good of the family. Don Vito lives his life in the way of the old country, but times are changing and some don’t want to follow the old ways and look out for community and “family”. An up and coming rival of the Corleone family wants to start selling drugs in New York, and needs the Don’s influence to further his plan. The clash of the Don’s fading old world values and the new ways will demand a terrible price, especially from Michael, all for the sake of the family.

Imitation of Life, the 50’s version with Lana Turner. The original with Claudette Colbert was great, but Lana’s version was much better. A real tear jerker.
Also, can’t miss her in Madame X.
2 gotta see movies.

GodFather is a great movie as you indicated. Both I and 2)
The first poster hit on one of mine (The holy Grail), but I think the blues brothers is a bit of a stretch
Citizen Kane is generally hollywoods choice as best all time, and quite honestly, it is pretty good
Gone with the wind was a great film
Casablanca was a great film

Twilight, New moon, Armageddon,Titanic. Harry Potter films.High school musical sucks. it is very cheesy. Defo don’t recommend it. Also for horror movies, The ring one and two, final destination 1-4, unborn(possibly the best horror film i have ever seen)and the descent. The lord of the rings films are good too. Dirty Dancing!!!!!a classic you cannot ignore. Grease is good though cheesy. Top gun and cocktail are good too.My name comes from Cocktail

also blood diamond! I watched it yesterday, is very good. stardust is also worth a look. I could go on forever so i will stop now! if you want anymore just ask

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark– Harrison Ford does a phenomenal job acting and improvising, the special effects are good, the story and script are well done, and the cinematography is downright awesome.
I just watched Requiem for a Dream last night, and I have to say that it was a pretty good movie. Jared Leto makes his character believable; well, I think all the actors did a good job. The cinematography adds to the storyline and enhances it, and the script is good too. I want to read the book now that it is based on.
